MICHAEL DABROSKI NEWS • Please contact Michael Dabroski by email at mike@violinmike.com ------------------------ FALL 2006 • DECEMBER 14 and 15 (THURSDAY and FRIDAY) - Perform "B minor Mass" by Johann Sebastian Bach with Vermont Mozart Festival in Stowe and Burlington in Vermont. • DECEMBER 8, 9 and 10 (FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY) - Perform "Holiday Pops Concert" with Vermont Symphony Orchestra in Barre, Burlington and Rutland in Vermont. • DECEMBER 2, SATURDAY - Perform "Masterworks Series" concert with Vermont Symphony Orchestra in Burlington in Vermont. • NOVEMBER 3, FRIDAY - Invited to serve as a violin adjudicator at 2007 VERMONT ALL STATE MUSIC FESTIVAL at both southern and northern sites. • OCTOBER 31, TUESDAY - Teach a Chamber Music course weekly to 14 high school students at Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Charlotte celebrating a "Nature in Chamber Music" theme. • OCTOBER 27, SATURDAY - Perfom a special "BACHTOBERFEST" concert in Shelburne, Vermont to benefit Lake Champlain Waldorf School. Concert includes all Six Suites for Cello (transc. for violin) by J.S. Bach. • SEPTEMBER 5, TUESDAY - My method "Violin Study: A Guide to Personal and Professional Violin Development" is distributed to students for practice this fall. • SEPTEMBER 11, MONDAY - Fall Term 2006 Lesson Schedule begins (12 weeks). • AUGUST 31, FRIDAY - Appointed Artist in Residence in Violin and Chamber Music studies at Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Charlotte and Shelburne for academic year 2006-07. SUMMER 2006 • JULY 16 and 30, SATURDAY - Perform as a member of the Vermont Mozart Festival orchestra at Shelburne Farms, Vermont. Programs include Mendelssohn "Hebrides" Overture, Mozart Piano Concerto #20, Beethoven Symphony #8, Beethoven "Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus," Wagner "Siegfried Idyll," Mozart Piano Concerto #26, and Haydn Symphony #104. • JUNE 16, FRIDAY - 19 violin students at Orchard Elementary School in South Burlington perform a short "debut" recital at closing circle. • JUNE 8, THURSDAY - Fall, Winter, and Spring 2006-2007 Calendar and Programs offerings listed on "Services" page. SPRING 2006 • MAY 24, WEDNESDAY - 13 violin students at The Bellwether School in Williston perform a Spring recital. • MAY 21, SUNDAY - 13 violin students perform a Spring recital at Lake Champlain Waldorf School Studio in Shelburne. • MAY 20, SATURDAY - Orchestra Concert Master in Rutter "Requiem" to benefit the Lake Champlain Waldorf School at Shelburne Farms event. • MAY 18, THURSDAY - Orchestra Concert Master in Rutter "Requiem" to benefit the Lake Champlain Waldorf School at Shelburne Farms event. • MAY 1, MONDAY - Spring Term 2006 Lesson Schedule begins (5-7 weeks). • MARCH 18, SATURDAY - Perform a special "Bach and Sweets" concert in Burlington, Vermont to benefit The Bellwether School, fundraising over $6,500. WINTER 2006 • FEBRUARY 21, TUESDAY - Record Suzuki Books 1, 2 and 3 CD for distribution. • JANUARY 10, TUESDAY - Teach a Chamber Music course weekly to 14 high school students at Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Charlotte featuring Mozart's Clarinet Quintet, a Mozart Violin/Viola duo, and a Trio Sonata by Handel. • JANUARY 9, MONDAY - Teach a Chamber Music Course weekly to 5 students at Vermont Commons School in South Burlington featuring Beethoven's Piano Trio Op.1 #1 and Bach double violin concerto. • JANUARY 9, MONDAY - An original "Violin Playing Guide" is available for students learning to play the violin. • JANUARY 9, MONDAY - Winter Term 2006 Lesson Schedule begins (12 weeks). • JANUARY 7 and 14 - Serve as a violin adjudicator at 2006 VERMONT ALL STATE MUSIC FESTIVAL at both southern and northern sites. FALL 2005 • DECEMBER 20, TUESDAY - 13 chamber music students at Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Charlotte perform movements from the Mozart Viola Quintet in c minor, Hummel Clarinet Quartet, and Handel's Overture to Queen of Sheba in a Winter concert program. • DECEMBER 19, MONDAY - Perform a Winter Solstice celebration at The Bellwether School in Williston. • DECEMBER 5, MONDAY - Teach a weekly violin class to 19 grade K-1 students at Orchard School in South Burlington. • NOVEMBER 8, TUESDAY - Teach a Chamber Music Course to 14 students weekly at the Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Charlotte. Works include Mozart Viola Quintet in c minor, Hummel Clarinet Quartet and a Handel Overture. • SEPTEMBER 23, FRIDAY - Teach a Violin class weekly to 13 grade 2-3 students at The Bellwether School in Williston. • SEPTEMBER 20, TUESDAY - Conduct a string orchestra at Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Shelburne. • SEPTEMBER 19, MONDAY - Teach Violin lessons weekly to 15 students at The Bellwether School in Williston. • SEPTEMBER 15, THURSDAY - Conduct a string orchestra at Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Shelburne. • SEPTEMBER 13, TUESDAY - Teach Violin lessons weekly to 18 students at Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Shelburne. • SEPTEMBER 13, TUESDAY - Fall Term 2005 Lesson Schedule begins (12 weeks)
