PROGRAMS



1. PRIVATE VIOLIN LESSONS

Violinist Michael Dabroski teaches weekly individual private violin lessons in half hour lengths. The lesson focus - learning how to play the violin - is violin technique and music interpretation using original, Suzuki and traditional learning methods. A lesson curriculum is provided upon request. All abilities and levels, ages five to adult, are welcome. Scheduling, billing and studio policies exist. Necessary supplemental materials include music books, metronome, a music stand and supplies (strings, rosin, shoulder rest). The Private Violin Lesson goal seeks to:

~ Provide the highest quality training services to beginner and advanced level violin students.
~ Establish a comprehensive and contemporary teaching guide and plan to instruct violin students.
~ Increase music appreciation and understanding through violin learning.

2. BACHWOODS

An affordable musical experience designed to teach students how to play the violin and chamber music using music composed by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). The BACHWOODS goal seeks to:

~ Provide the highest quality training services to beginner and advanced level violin students.
~ Establish a comprehensive and contemporary teaching guide and plan to instruct violin students.
~ Increase music appreciation and understanding through violin learning.

3. NATURE IN CHAMBER MUSIC

An exclusive chamber music instructional program for students selected to:

~ learn and perform noteworthy chamber music compositions.
~ explore reasons how and why composers might associate their music with nature.
~ improve their individual and ensemble instrumental playing skills.

Invited student participants receive an intensive artistic experience culminating in a concert at the end of the program. The concert will feature a musical performance supported by nature and environmental theme related presentations (visual and spoken).

4. MUSIC THEORY and COMPOSITION

Designed for music students to study rhythm, pitch, and musical form using textbook and manuscript paper. No prior experience necessary. All ages. Weekly and project assignments are provided.

5. SOLO VIOLIN CONCERTS

Violinist Michael Dabroski offers two Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) violin solo performance projects: Six Suites for Solo Cello BWV 1007-1012 (transcribed for Solo Violin) and Three Partitas for Solo Violin BWV 1002, 1004 and 1006. The Solo Violin Concert goal seeks to:

~ Perform important violin solo programs including repertoire of various musical style.
~ Reveal important violin pedagogical techniques.
~ Inspire students and listeners to seek violin educational opportunities.
~ Increase access, awareness and develop audiences for chamber music.
